Pastoral Ministry
Guiding and equipping members for mission-focused service
Pastoral Ministry Manual
“The Lord says, And I will give you pastors according to my heart, which will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” – Jeremiah 3:15.
MISSION AND VISION OF PGI PASTOR’S MINISTRY
To glorify God by nurturing the spiritual growth of the congregation, proclaiming the gospel, and leading the church with humility, integrity, and a servant’s heart.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The Pastoral Ministry exists to care for the spiritual needs of the congregation, guide them in their walk with Christ, and equip them to live faithfully according to God’s Word.
Scripture tells us, in Acts 20:28, pastors are instructed to “keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers.” The Pastoral Ministry fulfils this role by shepherding God’s people and guarding the church’s spiritual health.
Focus of the Pastoral Ministry

Shepherding the Flock
Provide ongoing spiritual care, guidance, and encouragement to help the congregation grow in faith, remain steadfast in sound doctrine, and face life’s challenges with a Christ-centred perspective.

Equipping for Ministry
Empower and mentor church members to discover their spiritual gifts, embrace their roles in the body of Christ, and actively participate in fulfilling the Great Commission through service and discipleship.

Fostering Unity and Healing
Act as a source of peace, reconciliation, and restoration within the church, offering biblical wisdom and compassionate leadership to build a harmonious and spiritually thriving community.
