James 3:1
MISSION AND VISION OF PGI MEN’S MINISTRY
The mission of the PGI Men’s Ministry Team is to encourage, equip, and energize the men of PGI Church and our community to become all God has purposely designed each man to be through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, discipleship, leadership, and obedience to the inerrant Word of God, to assist men in their spiritual, social, physical and leadership development, and to help them become change agents in their homes, church and the community. Serve the Lord at home, at work, at play and in the Church. The men’s ministry serves all the men in the church from 35 years and older including any aged married man.
Vision
Help every man deepen his personal relationship with God (Matthew 22:37-38), develop his relationships with other men (Matthew 22:39-40), and disciple his life for works of service (Matthew 28:18-20).
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Men’s Ministry is a Christ-centered ministry calling men to serve the Lord at home, at work, at play, and in the church. We strive to help men in three key areas: deepen a love relationship with God, develop a brotherhood with other men, and disciple a life for works of service.
A purpose statement is critical to keeping a men’s ministry focused. Without focus, a ministry can exist but never accomplish something significant toward building the kingdom of God. Building the kingdom of God is accomplished by training men to labor in the harvest fields of men’s souls. Jesus worked to train His men to fulfill the great commission.
The Joshua’s Men ministry team will:
• Focus on relationships not programs
• Maintain men-only tailored events
• Cultivate a male-friendly environment
• Teach practical application from the Bible
• Provide opportunities for men to interact
• Pray and promote honor to pastors
Scripture calls for it. In his letters, the apostle Paul consistently encourages men to lead by example, demonstrating faith, love, and integrity. Men are called to strengthen one another, support the church, and guide future generations in truth and righteousness. ~ 1 Corinthians 16:13-14; 1 Timothy 6:11-12
Focus of the Men's Ministry

Strengthen Brotherhood
Build a supportive community where men can form authentic, lasting relationships. By fostering trust, accountability, and shared experiences, men can encourage one another to grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially.
This brotherhood helps create a strong network where no man feels isolated in his faith journey or personal challenges.

Foster Growth
Men tend to flourish when they exist in a setting that is conducive to masculinity. Our Men’s Ministry seeks to stimulate growth by applying four key principles:
- Maintain a male-friendly environment.
- Create opportnities for me to interact with other men.
- Teach practical Bible lessons and application.
- Provide real-world solutions to male-oriented problems.

Develop Leaders
Equip men with the skills, confidence, and spiritual maturity to lead effectively in their homes, churches, and communities.
Through mentorship, practical training, and biblical guidance, men can be empowered to serve as role models of integrity, faith, and service. This leadership development ensures men are prepared to inspire and guide others in fulfilling God’s purpose.
