On the 12th of May 2019, the Soshanguve branch was fully established and opening as the first church in Pretoria for its members.

The Synod meeting’s purpose is to inform synod delegates, congregational councils and treasurers and all interested parties on the budget, important law changes and other matters of synod. It’s an opportunity to provides reports, recommendations, and supplemental material dealing with the range of issues that will come before them. It is vital for them to discuss, deliberate, and prayerfully discern how to take action on the matters before them.

The aim is of Governance visits is to increase the organisation’s accountability in an attempt to avoid big (ethical, legal, financial, etc.) problems or risks. It also ensures the long-term success of the organisation. Good corporate governance is required not only by law, but it is essentially a Biblical principle: we are commanded to conduct ourselves in a manner that is worthy of the Gospel (Phil. 1:27), this includes having respect for the authorities, obeying the laws of the land, being ethical, transparent and accountable, and also being good stewards of the resources (both people and financial/material) which have been entrusted to us.
